News and notes
Wild Card weekend…
Mike Williams will likely miss two to three weeks (back). For the time being, the Chargers will head into the playoffs with Keenan Allen, Joshua Palmer, and DeAndre Carter leading the wide receiver position.
Jeff Wilson Jr. will likely take over as the lead back for Miami this weekend after the Dolphins listed Raheem Mostert (thumb) as out against the Buffalo Bills.
Lamar Jackson is still trying to recover from a knee injury that has forced him to miss extended time this season. He will be out for at least the first week of the playoffs, and there’s a good chance we don’t see him at all this season.
2023 outlook…
The Cardinals are reportedly planning to try and trade All-Pro WR DeAndre Hopkins this offseason. It is possible Kyler Murray misses most of next season, so it makes sense for Arizona to try and get the most out of Hopkins in a trade while they still can.
Aaron Jones is expected to return to the Packers in 2023. Despite solid stats, Jones lost opportunities AJ Dillon, especially toward the end of the season. This could cap both’s fantasy upside in 2023.
Brandin Cooks indicated on Monday that he hopes to be traded this offseason because at this point in his career he doesn’t want to be a part of a rebuild. Cooks’ fantasy stock would likely rise next season landing on a better offense.
