Week 15 news you might be able to use…
Justin Herbert had surgery Tuesday on his fractured right index finger and will miss the remainder of the season. It is a big blow to the fantasy value of Austin Ekeler and Keenan Allen for fantasy managers in the playoffs. It’ll be Easton Stick undercenter for the Chargers the rest of the season.
Justin Jefferson told reporters that he will play on Saturday against the Bengals. He suffered an injury last week that forced him to go to the hospital, but he was still able to travel back with the team, which was a positive sign. It will be Nick Mullens undercenter for Minnesota which adds some risk, but it is tough to sit a healthy Jefferson.
Jonathan Taylor remained sidelined from practice today. It was reported earlier that Taylor is expected to play again this season as the Colts’ remain in the playoff race. Whether or not his return comes this week remains something to monitor to see if he can return to practice by Thursday, with the Colts playing on Saturday this week.
C.J. Stroud was not at practice today. This was expected as Stroud remains in concussion protocol. He will have a couple more days to clear the protocol. Otherwise, it will be Davis Mills undercenter against the Titans.
Darren Waller remains hopeful to be activated off the injured reserve this week. He will be tough to trust for fantasy managers, though, in his first game back off a long absence and without Daniel Jones at quarterback.
