Some Week 17 news you can use
Antonio Gibson was not seen at practice today. This is now back-to-back missed practices for Gibson as he deals with a sprain of some kind, putting his status in doubt to play this week. If he is ruled out, Brian Robinson would be in line to see a true workhorse role.
Derrick Henry is doubtful for tonight’s game against the Cowboys. What a brutal break for fantasy managers with Henry in the fantasy championship … Tony Pollard will also likely be a game-time decision tonight. Ezekiel Elliott is an RB1 play if Pollard is sidelined.
Raiders’ QB Derek Carr is being benched in favor of Jarrett Stidham as the Raiders host the 49ers. The Las Vegas skill position players need to be significantly downgraded for the fantasy championship week, specifically Davante Adams and Darren Waller.
Stefon Diggs (illness) is unavailable and will not practice Thursday for the Buffalo Bills. Diggs will benefit from having an extra day to prepare for the team’s Monday night matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals, and fantasy owners should expect the star wideout to be cleared to play.
Nick Chubb says he’s definitely playing the last two games and never considered shutting it down due to his foot issue. The Browns are out of playoff contention, but Chubb should still be out on the field for his usual workhorse role for fantasy managers in the championship this week.
