📰 Week 2 news you can use
Who is trending up and down heading into Sunday’s action…
👍 Travis Kelce missed Kansas City’s first game after suffering a hyperextended knee in practice, but now Andy Reid says that he will play in Week 2. This is great news for fantasy managers and he’s obviously a must-start fantasy option, but there’s a chance that he will be limited in usage
🙌 After being able to participate in practice this week, Jerry Jeudy will make his 2023 debut against the Commanders. Jeudy is a solid flex option and should see plenty of targets Sunday.
❌ Austin Ekeler is not expected to travel with the Chargers to Nashville, Tenn., for Week 2’s contest. Joshua Kelley should be on the radar for fantasy managers going against the Tennessee Titans. He can be considered as an RB2/FLEX option.
🫤 DeAndre Hopkins didn’t practice all week because of an ankle injury, and now his status for Sunday’s game is officially up in the air. He’s listed as questionable, and the team will make a decision about his availability sometime closer to kickoff. If he’s out, Treylon Burks and Chigoziem Okonkwo will both have to play bigger roles
🤞 Breece Hall was upgraded to full participation in practice on Friday after being limited earlier in the week. The team still has him listed as questionable, but it seems almost certain that he will be available to play on Sunday.
🤷 Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Brandin Cooks will be a game-time decision for Sunday’s game against the Jets. If he is sidelined, Michael Gallup would likely be a little more involved but either way, they both aren’t anything more than risky WR3s from a fantasy football perspective.

📋 Week 2 rankings update
Insights on key fantasy matchups from the 5th Down team and my favorite experts from around the web, and a fresh update on my player rankings below…
📈 3 guys up
Rhamondre Stevenson (RB, NE at MIA) — “Vic Fangio is now the DC of the Dolphins, and the Fangio defense is essentially a run funnel system — 2-high, eliminate the big play, and allow the opposing team to make hay up the gut. I bring this up because this week they’re playing a team that would love nothing more than to run duo up the gut all Sunday long. Expect no longer ill Stevenson to have a big game. You can even take a dart through on Ezekiel Elliott. The Patriots will pound the rock as long as they can against the Dolphins.” — Matt New, 5th Down Fantasy
Jared Goff (QB, DET vs. SEA) — “Did you know that Jared Goff has not thrown an interception in his past 10 starts and 359 pass attempts? He joins Bart Starr, Tom Brady, Milt Plum, and Derek Carr as the only quarterbacks to go 10 consecutive starts without an interception. And those 359 passes without an interception is third all-time in NFL history, with only Brady and Aaron Rodgers having longer streaks. It's impressive, and Goff doesn't get the credit he deserves in Fantasy and reality for being a quality quarterback. For this week, I like him as a top-10 Fantasy passer against the Seahawks.” — Jamey Eisenberg, CBS Sports
