Starting next week, you will no longer have to enter passwords for the rankings! I’ll explain how it’ll work next week in the Week 4 rankings post. Thanks for hanging in there with me while I figured this out, and my sincere apologies for the inconvenience up until this point.

📰 Week 3 news you can use

Who is trending up and down heading into Sunday’s action…

❌ Austin Ekeler will miss a second consecutive game with an ankle injury. Joshua Kelley is the next man up in the Chargers’ backfield, but he disappointed in Week 2, rushing for 39 yards on 13 carries (3.0 AVG) while failing to haul in his only target. However, the Chargers faced the Titans and their stingy run defense last week and have a more favorable matchup against the Vikings.

🤔 Breece Hall was limited in practice earlier this week, but he practiced in full on Friday and is good to go for Sunday’s game. The Patriots boast a stellar defense, so the second-year RB is a boom-or-bust starting option for fantasy purposes.

🤷 Joe Burrow (calf) was limited at Cincinnati’s practice on Friday. The Bengals him to be ready to play for Monday, but it sounds like there’s a slight chance that he will have to miss that game and nurse the injury. We won’t get clarity on this until sometime in the next couple of days.

❌ Jaguars WR Zay Jones (knee) has officially been ruled out for Week 3 against Houston. Fantasy managers should expect increased targets for Christian Kirk and Jamal Agnew against the Texans, who will be without Derek Stingley Jr. and Jalen Pitre.

😌 Amon-Ra St. Brown (toe) is listed as questionable for Week 3. St. Brown has upgraded his participation level in each practice session this week. All signs point to St. Brown playing, which would make him a must-start fantasy option against Atlanta.

📋 Week 3 rankings update

Insights on key fantasy matchups from the 5th Down team and my favorite experts from around the web, and a fresh update on my player rankings below…

📈 3 guys up

Kirk Cousins (QB, MIN vs. LAC) — “Cousins is on pace for 6,018 passing yards, which is insane. He won't keep this up, but he's been great so far in two games this season against Tampa Bay and Philadelphia with 708 passing yards, six touchdowns and one interception. This week, he's facing a Chargers defense that has already allowed 712 passing yards, four touchdowns and one interception against Tua Tagovailoa and Ryan Tannehill, and the projected score for this matchup is the highest of the week at 54 points.” — Jamey Eisenberg, CBS Sports
